The Ghosts in Houses I have lived in

                                               GHOSTS IN MY HOUSE

The home where I grew up in had more than one ghost in it, one lived in the basement, and there was at

least one in the upstairs. The one that lived upstairs, didn't like for me to come up to the upstairs during

the day, if I did I would hurry so much that I believe that one of them would give me a little push down

the 13 stairs as I descended down, which in turn I would fall all the way down and hit the door at the

bottom of the stairs, this happened quite often, I was the only one that the upstairs ghosts picked on, but

now that I think about it I was always the one (Only one) that was told to go upstairs during the day

and evening before bedtime, I can't think of another person that would travel those stairs after dark

before bedtime. The upstairs ghost, One night my sister Jane woke me up in the early morning hours,

and whispered to me that there was a man standing across the room by the closet looking right at us, he

had a hat and a suit jacket on, he stared at us all night long and we stared back at him, so scared we

were afraid to breathe, when daylight came, everything became clear that our Dad's suit jacket and hat

was hanging on the closet door. Of course that didn't clear up the fact that maybe there wasn't a ghost

wandering around in our bedrooms, it was just to real.

The basement ghost...now this was a different story, I believe my Mom knew about him but just

wouldn't say anything about it cause she didn't want to scare my sister and I to the point where we

wouldn't want to go down there. My sister Jane, was sent to the basement one day and came screaming

back up the stairs, said she seen a confederate soldier crouched down in the back of the basement, I

never actually seen him, but could feel a presence hovering over me as I walked to the front of the

basement room to get to the light string, ( we didn't have a flashlight) it was so scary even to this day.

My brother moved to this house after my Mom and Dad moved from there, one day his grown kids

were there and I mentioned about the basement and one of his daughters, said see Mom I told you that

basement is haunted!!

                                         ANOTHER HOUSE ANOTHER GHOST

The house I lived in a few years later after I had gotten married, my Mom and Dad had lived there until

my Father's death. I moved there a year or so later, My Dad actually had died in the house,

everything was pretty cool for a while there until my husband and I was getting a divorce and he had

moved out, I was lying in bed one night just thinking about what was going to happen to me and my 3

little kids , I felt like someone was in the room with me and I opened my eyes and my Dad was

standing at the foot of my bed looking at me with such sad eyes, It scared me really bad, I closed my

eyes really tight and I was afraid to move for the longest time. When I finally opened them again he

was gone. Later on in years I ask a card reader to ask my Dad why he never did come back to see me

again, and she said that he said that he didn't want to scare me again like he did before. I don't

remember seeing anymore spirits in that house.

AROUND THE CORNER

Around the corner I have a friend,
In this great city that has no end.
Yet days go by and weeks rush on,

And before I know it a year is gone,
And I never see my old friend's face;

He knows I like him just as well
As in the days when I rang his bell
And he rang mine, we were younger then
and now we are busy, tired men.
Tired with playing a foolish game
Tired with trying to make a name.
Tomorrow, I say , "I will call on Jim.
But tomorrow comes---- and tomorrow goes;
And the distance between us grows and grows,
Around the corner!-- yet miles away.....
"Here's a telegram, sir,
Jim died today".
And that's what we get---- and deserve in the end--
Around the corner, a vanished friend.

I was going through some old things and found this which brought tears to my eyes,
as the person that gave this to me, is no longer alive.
A person that was one of my very best friends.

Things Grandma and I saw

In my early childhood, probably late 40's, we didn't have a T.V., so there wasn't much to do after dark, besides go to bed, and wait for sleep. I used to sleep with my Grandma a lot and one summer night, laying in front of the window trying to get a little wisp of cool night air. Grandma was being really quite and she said to me, look in the sky and pointed to where she wanted me to look. There were 3 or 4 tiny little red dots moving around in the sky, like they were playing tag. I ask Grandma, what is that, she said I don't know. She said I see them all the time at night when I can't sleep, I said have you told Mom and Daddy about them? She said no they would just say I was a crazy old woman. I only seen that the one time and I never did mention it to Mom, I don't know why, just didn't.
Planes didn't fly at night where we lived, and not very often during the day. So it rules that out

Judy's Pizza Ho Hum!!!

How to smile and not to lose your mind and run a pizza shop!!! Well.... first thing I am told as I am met in the parking lot, is the new girl isn't doing very good and has made a lot of mistakes today. Now one week ago this same girl was doing so very good, learning really quick, wonder what happened.

The problems for the day was a 14 inch pizza was made instead of a 10 inch how can that happen unless someone didn't write it plain enough to read. Imagine that!!
Next a chicken Parmesan was brought back because some of the spaghetti was sticking out from under the cheese and was hard and there wasn't enough cheese on it when it was suppose to be x cheese, looked pretty bad to me, not enough cheese for x-cheese for sure.

Next someone came to pick up a order previously ordered and 20 hot wings turned into only 10 so the customer had to wait on the other ones to cook. Customer was okay with waiting, which was good.

Next, someone placed an order, paid for it and then it was placed in the drawer instead of being put in the kitchen where it could be prepared, so when the customer came back in to pick it up ... you guessed it ... had to wait on it after it was found in the drawer. Whew !!! are you tired yet cause I am.

Making Pizza

I have been making pizzas since 1967, my first job was at Gina's Pizza, on second and railroad street in Ironton, Ohio.
I was so very excited to be able to have a job, I worked for Clay Grant Jr., who scared me to death. Also I married him 3 years later. I was under the impression if you did one thing wrong you would get fired. Little did I know how much crap I put up with now that I own a pizza shop, Judy's Pizza, and still keep them because they are probably better than a new person. Everyone always knows a much better way to make your recipes, and don't hesitate to proceed to do so. It is a fight everyday in this respect!
It is something I hate and I love all at the same time, I think if I was able to fix all the food myself so it could be done the way I would want it, then maybe!!! That would be crazy though.

Sister Jane's Feather Fear

My sister Jane was very frightened of anything with feathers. I was prettty ornery, I blame it on not having anything to occupy my time, One day I found a little baby bird, with only pin feathers on it for feathers, poor little thing couldn't even fly. I took it to show my big sister cause I knew how scared she was of feathers. So I carried it up to her room to present it to her, I believe that was why she was already in her room , from me trying to show her how pretty it was. But I decided to show it to her at a closer range and she wouldn't let me in if I still had the bird.... but I told just a ittybitty little lie and told here I didn't have it anymore.... so she would open her door. She did open her bedroom door ... and I really did have the little birdie... She kinda screamed at me and run me out of her room ... but see this is the kind of little antics I liked to do ....Maybe it was due to being bored.... back when I was a kid when you got bored you did something .... and those were the things that I did to cure my boredom problem..

Miss Polly Anna

Here is a sweet little girl, not hardly a handful but has so much personality it wouldn't fit in a barrel.
She smiles when she gets nervous, Since she is now 6 years old she has lost a couple of teeth so it is really funny when she smiles now.
When we get company, she is convinced that they have come solely to see her, and zips around to each and everyone to greet them.
She eats like a little pig, until she gets full then she just stops abruptly.
She likes for me and Bobby to sit together with her sitting in between us, that makes her happy.
She is the apple of our eye, We had a hard time keeping her alive but she finally made it, all in one piece, all 2 pounds of her.
